Dr Terrence MooreTerrence O. Moore is a teacher, writer, and school reformer.  He grew up in Texas, studied history at the universities of Chicago and Edinburgh, and served as a lieutenant in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1990-1993.  He briefly taught at Ashland University in Ohio.  From 2001 to 2008 he was the principal of Ridgeview Classical Schools in Fort Collins, Colorado, a start-up charter school that has become one of the leading schools in the nation, twice having the highest ranked high school in Colorado and being named the 15th best high school in the nation by U. S. News and World Report in 2008.  From 2008 to the present, Dr. Moore has taught history at Hillsdale College, where he has won the Emily Daugherty Award for Teaching Excellence.  He writes and speaks frequently on the subjects of liberal education, limited government, and traditional manhood.  His articles have appeared in the Claremont Review of Books, The Washington Times, The Family in America, and Touchstone and on HumanEvents.com, BigGovernment.com, BigPeace.com, BigHollywood.com, and the Ashbrook Center website.  These articles have been blogged by scoress of sites, and his cover article “Wimps and Barbarians: The Sons of Murphy Brown” was discussed by Hugh Hewitt, Laura Ingraham, and Rush Limbaugh.  Most recently, Dr. Moore is the author of The Perfect Game, a novel about real boys growing up in Texas during the Reagan years.  It is available on Amazon.  He is married to Jennifer Moore, and they have four children.
